A member of the Sooner Unit gave a one-hour parliamentary procedure workshop at
the Lorman Education Services seminar "Establishing And Operating Homeowners'
Associations" at the Waterford Marriott in Oklahoma City.

Two Sooner Unit members traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and presented a two-hour
morning parliamentary procedure workshop and a two-hour afternoon workshop to
two classes of Health Occupation Students of
America (HOSA). HOSA is a student
organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care
industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA
students compete in state and national competitive events programs, one of which
is parliamentary procedure.

Two Sooner Unit members traveled to Lawton, Oklahoma, to give a five-hour
workshop in Basic Parliamentary Procedure, and administered the National
Association of Parliamentarians membership exam to three workshop participants.

Four Sooner Unit members gave a luncheon workshop for the
Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Managers
(OSCPM). The Mission of OSCPM is to promote
effective public management by establishing the Certified Public Manager
credential as the recognized standard for professional practice. OSCPM is one of
22 accredited states belonging to the American Academy of Certified Public
Managers® (AACPM), a national professional association of public sector
managers, which has more than 1,000 members nationwide.

Four Sooner Unit members presented a two-hour parliamentary procedure workshop
to the Top Ladies of Distinction & Top Teens of America.

Three members of the Sooner Unit presented an all-day parliamentary procedure
workshop in conjunction with the Annual Convention of the Oklahoma State
Association of Parliamentarians. Topics covered included: Duties of the
President, Vice-President, President-Elect; the Agenda; Duties of the Recording
Secretary; Minutes; Duties of the Treasurer and Finance Committee; Duties of the
Parliamentarian; Types of Committees and Committee Reports; Methods of Voting
and Voting Procedures; How to Have a Great Meeting; The Three Processes of
Amending a Motion; Procedure for Handling Motions; Order and Precedence of the
13 Ranking Motions; Nominations/Elections; and Basic Parliamentary Procedure
Overview.

Three Sooner Unit members will serve as judges for the District parliamentary
procedure competition for the Family, Career
and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA - formerly FHA). The FCCLA helps
young men and women address important personal, family, work, and societal
issues through family and consumer science education. FCCLA members develop
skills for life: goal setting, problem solving, decision-making, and effective
communications.

Sooner Unit donated $100 to the
Marcella Guthrie
Scholarship Fund, and a one-page Sooner Unit advertisement in the
scholarship program booklet. The Sooner Unit enjoys promoting community and
civic involvement, and increasing awareness of parliamentary procedure in the
community. The scholarship provides financial assistance to deserving and needy
young people who have demonstrated outstanding academic and extra-curricular
achievements.

Three Sooner Unit members presented a parliamentary procedure workshop in
Lawton, Oklahoma, sponsored by the Great Plains Unit of Lawton. This workshop
was open to the public, and several new Provisional Members joined the Great
Plains Unit.

Two Sooner Unit members conducted an educational program for the monthly meeting
of the Will Rogers Unit. Topic: "Let's Make Amends - How to Amend a Motion"

Three Sooner Unit members conducted two workshops at the regional
conference of Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE), held at the First
Christian Church in Clinton, Oklahoma, with approximately 40 workshop
participants. OHCE is a program of continuing education in all aspects of home
and community life. OHCE’s ultimate mission is to educate its
members to be well-informed and able to handle change in their homes and
communities. Through its relationship with the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension
Service, OHCE presents research-based information to its members.

Sooner Unit members helped prepare the annual meeting script for the
Girl Scouts
Red Lands Council, as well as helped prepare a short educational program for the
delegates to illustrate proper use of parliamentary procedure. A
Professional Registered member of the Sooner Unit served at no cost as
parliamentarian for the business meeting. The Sooner Unit donated five copies of
Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised in Brief
to the Red Lands Council Girl Scouts.

Six members of the Sooner Unit planned and conducted a four-hour workshop on the
Basics of Parliamentary Procedure for the Neighborhood Alliance of
Central Oklahoma, with 25 workshop participants. Door prizes were given out to
enhance audience participation.

Sooner Unit donated $100 to University of Oklahoma
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta
Lambda to help sponsor a student to attend the FBLA-PBL national convention.
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit education
association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related
fields. The FBLA-PBL Mission is to bring business and education together in a
positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career
development programs. Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is devoted to
developing business skills in secondary school students through local chapter
activities as well as state and national leadership conferences. FBLA's Phi Beta
Lambda (PBL) division continues developing business skills in students as they
continue on to postsecondary education.

Sooner Unit members planned and conducted an all-day Quick Study Course in the
Basics of Parliamentary Procedure, held on Friday, August 19, 2005. This
was in conjunction with the Annual Convention of the Oklahoma State Association
of Parliamentarians, held the following day in Oklahoma City on August 20.
There were a total of seventeen workshop participants, seven of whom took and
passed the qualifying exam for membership into the National Association of
Parliamentarians (NAP). Congratulations to our new NAP members!

Sooner Unit donated $100 to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority for their Community Tour
of Homes and a one-page Sooner Unit advertisement in the fundraiser program
booklet. The Sooner Unit enjoys promoting community and civic involvement, and
increasing awareness of parliamentary procedure in the community.

In recognition of April as Parliamentary Law Month, five members of the
Sooner Unit conducted a free three-hour parliamentary procedure workshop for the
Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma. This workshop was a part of a six-week
educational program, "Neighborhood Leaders for Today", sponsored annually by the Neighborhood Alliance,
where neighborhood leaders receive leadership training on various aspects of
running a successful neighborhood association. There were 32 workshop attendees,
held at The Village Public Library.

Six members of the Sooner Unit traveled
to Stillwater, Oklahoma to serve as judges in the state FCCLA parliamentary
procedure competition. Nine teams participated, and the Junior and Senior
winning teams will be eligible to participate in the National FCCLA competition
in San Diego, California.

Sooner Unit held its annual officer installation dinner and membership drive at
Hunan Wok in NW Oklahoma City. OKC NW Classen FFA Youth Group attended, and
member Barbara Benton conducted the officer installation ceremony.

Once again in 2004, the Sooner Unit assisted with the annual meeting (convention
of delegates) of the Girl Scouts - Red Lands Council. Sooner Unit members helped
prepare a meeting script, and Rod Davidson, PRP, served as meeting
parliamentarian.

A 1 1/2 hour parliamentary procedure workshop at the OSU campus in Tulsa for the
CareerTech 37th Annual Summer Conference, Oklahoma Department of Career and
Technology Education, presented by four members of the Sooner Unit.

Half-day parliamentary procedure workshop for Great Plains Unit members in
Lawton, presented by three members of the Sooner Unit, with the NAP membership
exam administered afterward to two provisional members.

Half-day parliamentary procedure workshop for the Oklahoma Tribal Child Care
Association, Choctaw Nation, Seminole Nation Community Center, Seminole OK,
presented by four members of the Sooner Unit. Two copies of RONR in Brief
were presented to the President and Secretary/Treasurer on behalf of the Sooner
Unit.

the Sooner Unit, to celebrate and congratulate the graduating NW Classen High
School seniors and to wish everyone a fun and safe summer.

Girl Scouts Red Lands Council Annual Meeting, with members of the Sooner Unit
assisting by writing meeting script and serving as parliamentarian. Five copies
of RONR were presented to the Girl Scouts Red Lands Council on behalf of the
Sooner Unit.
